After my death our beloved Church abroad will break three ways ... first the Greeks will leave us as they were never a part of us ... then those who live for this world and its glory will go to Moscow ... what will remain will be those souls faithful to Christ and His Church. ~St. Philaret of NY

re: Holy Trinity Monastery - Defending Orthodoxy

This is, as far as I can see, a most excellent Orthodox statement (originally mostly of Greek origin, but with added comments from some Jordanville monastics-?) against the current ecumenism-poison-SWAMP that all too many Orthodox churches around the world, are now enmeshed with, at least in their upper hierarchical levels, including of course, the so-called, Stalin-created in 1943  "Moscow Patriarchate," (now, super involved with ecumenism, especially with the Vatican these days), that false church created by the communists, after the passing of Holy Patriarch Tikhon (Belavin - the last real Russian Patriarch of THE real & free Russian church), and with which communist institution most worldly-Orthodox are, so foolishly  in full communion, including ROCOR/MP now ...i.e. and it's  Holy Trinity Monastery - the Jordanville Monastery.

The one subject not mentioned in this document is, 'Sergianism', i.e. that foul & satanic  collection of many heresies and profound  violations of Orthodox canons, ...and indeed of any basic Christian morality!, whereas the secular government controls and runs the national church, for it's aims and goals, and as a puppet institution, thus subverting the Gospel of Christ and the very purpose of Christ's Church on earth.

One fact is fairly clear about most average common Orthodox believers, in all of the national churches, of all nationalities, in worldly-Orthodoxy or in Traditionalist churches, MOST are very conservative in their practice/understanding of the faith, and are NOT in sympathy with the current ecumenist betrayal of their higher clergy. Especially, most average Orthodox believers detest the fallen-away Church of Rome, ever remembering it's many centuries of atrocities it committed against many Orthodox peoples, and of all it's tricks and lies.

Thus, with all the other 'modern'  fractioning and divisive factors at work, we now also see, a growing rift between the local Orthodox peoples, with their clerical upper leadership ....thus provoking more and more schisms within the national churches, world-wide.
Just my observations-
