After my death our beloved Church abroad will break three ways ... first the Greeks will leave us as they were never a part of us ... then those who live for this world and its glory will go to Moscow ... what will remain will be those souls faithful to Christ and His Church. ~St. Philaret of NY

Moldova Court Orders Demolition of Monastery Church

Imported Image 1.tiff 11/09/11. District Court of the Republic of Moldova Cimislia decided to demolish the newly built Holy Resurrection Church of our monastery in the village of New Sagaidak.

Rocana Update:
The troubles of the  Monastery in Noviye Sagadaiki, Moldova continue.  A court in the Cimislia District (Chimishliskiy Raion) in Moldova on November 9 ordered the demolition of the newly-built Holy Resurrection Church.  In September a group of 12 MP clergy and local officials entered the  monastery.  The officials, including the mayor of Noviye Sagadaiki and  the building inspector, said that there was some problem with the property of the monastery (it is private property). But the MP clerics -- who had earlier threatened our monastics with violence -- said that if the monastery came over to the MP there would be no problems with the property. Please pray for our monastics in Noviye Sagadaiki.
