"After my death our beloved Church abroad will break three ways .... first the Greeks will leave us as they were never a part of us ... then those who live for this world and it's glory will go to Moscow ... what will remain will be those souls faithful to Christ and His Church." St. Philaret of NY 1985

by French court

Glad tidings from the Western European Diocese of ROCOR (under our Metropolitan Agafangel):

On the day of the memory of the Venerable Maximus the Confessor, and through his prayers and intercessions, today, we have received good news.

Thanks to the persistence  and courage of the Confessors of our parishioners in the Cannes, France parish, in our Western European Diocese of our ROCOR under the spiritual care of Bishop Irenaeus (Klipenshteyn), we have managed to defend the Russian pre-revolutionary built church in Cannes, France, of The Holy Archangel Michael. By the decision of the French Court, this church is now returned to our Russian Church Abroad.

(And, Glory be to God!  Slava Bogu!)
