After my death our beloved Church abroad will break three ways ... first the Greeks will leave us as they were never a part of us ... then those who live for this world and its glory will go to Moscow ... what will remain will be those souls faithful to Christ and His Church. ~St. Philaret of NY

We are not fighting against flesh and blood

Metropolitan Agafangel: The Sirens Sang
As it is well known to many, in the past few months in New York state, a number of agitators have "landed" for the split of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (4 people), and they are all very active in fulfilling their assigned mission.  Has this happened before in the history of ROCA?  I do not remember, probably, like it was in the leading-up to 2007, but then unfortunately, nobody paid any attention to it.  But now, due to our small size , it is clearly visible.  Obviously, just as the split in 2007 was planned and guided by the Russian Federation, it can be seen that the current initiative stems from the same place and the same source. . . .

Spiritual Deception has been observed to be the #1 underlying cause of the Kotlaroff schism

Notice how the key schismatic players are behaving completely out of character. Notice the chaos (Abp. Andronik rescinding his signature). Notice the lies (abusing Fr. Michael's Dogmatic teachings). Notice the nonsense (Fr. Andrei accusing Vl. Agafangel of sergianism). Confusion is of the devil. But when people behave out of character, it indicates that demons might have been deliberately invoked (by humans) for a specific purpose. Just as in the ROCOR-MP schism of 2007...

I never saw Fr. Andrei as the militant type. I don't know him well enough to say if he is acting out of character or not. But his militant approach reminds me of the radical militant groups of the 70s... and the more organized of those groups (SDS, Weathermen) had leaders who were paid by the KGB and/or other connections with the KGB.
