After my death our beloved Church abroad will break three ways ... first the Greeks will leave us as they were never a part of us ... then those who live for this world and its glory will go to Moscow ... what will remain will be those souls faithful to Christ and His Church. ~St. Philaret of NY

Masters bless

This footage was taken from this last Sunday Liturgy for the Feast of St Sabbas the Sanctified.  We were blessed Peter George and two other psaltai with our beleaguered schola Cantorum. Remember that you are listening to a live service and there is one or two people nattering during the communion hymn not realizing that there was a hot mic right next to them.  It was nice not having to take every solo.  I get tired of hearing my own voice.

The Cherubic Hymn is that of Mikhalakis who portmanteau'd classical compositions of Konstantine the Protopsaltis and Phokaus. The melody of the communion hymn is that of Balasios the a Priest.

The Boston Cathedral psaltai are Peter George, Haralambos (Hambi) Hamos, and Teddy Kamberidis who were touring with a choir called Psaltikon.
