After my death our beloved Church abroad will break three ways ... first the Greeks will leave us as they were never a part of us ... then those who live for this world and its glory will go to Moscow ... what will remain will be those souls faithful to Christ and His Church. ~St. Philaret of NY

Hegumen Philemon tomb

The coffin is Hegumen Philemon’s. He was originally a monk on Valaam; but he left Valaam when the New Calendar was introduced there. He later joined the Brotherhood of St. Job of Pochaev in Slovakia founded by Archbishop Vitaly (Maximenko). Eventually he came with other monks from Slovakia to Jordanville after WW2. He is buried in the same crypt as Archbishop Averky.
